ZDI: Life is like that: (
Ja, heute hatten unser Junior-Team die Pelesmarties , bestehende aus Dörte , Julia, Robin, Daniel, Lena , Mona , Maxi , Fabio und Jan, his first competition.
This, however, was (like almost everything we tackle Pelestorms or make) lined with problems, but no less funny for it, but on the contrary, a super great experience!
It started the morning with the awarding of the new Pelesmarties T-Shirts on. Despite nearly freezing temperatures, we were Pelestorms that the T-shirts immediately attracted and still we could take a group photo!
Then we had the time we drove off to break even our tents in the AG-space, since this will be used for the next 2 weeks for the correction of high school work.
As this almost insurmountable obstacle the cleanliness was subdued but then made himself a half of coaches and team on the way to the station, the other remained as to be driven by two parents.
After nearly 1.5 hours we finally were somehow in the FH in Bielfeld and were slightly surprised at the age superiority of the other teams: only 2 of the other 10 teams were on average younger than us.
But that made us not afraid and we immediately began the usual way of working: turn Terrible music at 180 db and fool around, scream team by the area bellow and laugh A LOT!
it pleased the organizers , 2-3 other teams not exist! However, that does not bother us and we let not be deterred.
Even at the welcome was clear that we were the team, which had here today provide the right Geräuchuntermalung (where we later by former Robolution - coach and his new team, "Freeze " got support ). We sang " We Will Rock You ," cried our team cry, and made all sorts of noise (as we were accustomed to in Copenhagen). At 13.00 we had
then our first test phase at the table, but unfortunately was not even that much. The orientation was not, the concentration was still not quite there and the programs are not yet perfect. Accordingly, our first run despite cheers was something shameful: 40 points.
now but we had packed the ambition and we puzzled over the next hour to run almost continuously. In the trial period, then the wonderful result: 120 points!
According to our knowledge, this was at the time of highest risk score, but it was unfortunately only in Traning!
Then, at the table again the disappointment: The 1 and most important program caught and banged and accordingly and little else! The result: 45 points.
We had slipped to No. 7 of 7.
However, we knew we had everything on it and we made a short hand for the show: A team was assigned one other was missing and now the enemy what we are stepped in (the points were not counted, of course). We drove excellent 145P which should be for that day even the best on the competition table driven score, but yes, unfortunately, not counted.
We were still happy and looked forward rather on the 3 and decisive run. In the last sample period we successfully in a test run even the top score of 170 points! Then
came the third Run: The first program to collect the laptop, which ran insulation, and one of the fahhrad ball perfectly. The second in which we put the balls in underground storage was also excellent. We were almost at the cheering and the third program worked almost flawlessly.
However, what no one noticed: this program was a little man fell down and was still in the base. As Robin and Dorte
the robot started now, it is caught in the spokes of the wheel and the notebook, etc instead landed at the house prior to the research area.
Unfortunately refused the referee this object to remove, so we start despite all the last program for the polar bear, the buoy, etc.! As expected, the robot got caught in the small box. The polar bear has been sold anyway, and STAND! Now the journey back to the yellow area. The arm should have been dropping at the FG, but he was not able to. Through the wedge of the box, then drove the robot also wrong in reverse. He made it funny enough with the trip, which he would normally drive in the middle of the field into the yellow area, but with the arm he was too long. Now began the penultimate part of the program: a spin!
The arm caught at the house and tore off.
We cheered because the robot is now fit in the yellow area. Unfortunately
was now but the last part of the program, a forward movement.
The robot is pushed forward but still prevented the broken arm, leaving the yellow area.
was then this last trip and we took a load off my mind.
With 105 points, we imagined ourselves already in the finals ....
... as then came the shock:
Another team had also reached 105 points in the last minute, but was been in the previous 2 runs better.
That meant for us: Rank 5, and thus not in the final.
The Juniors was disappointed and sad.
Why had not counted our extra drive?
It would have been the best of the day, as he remained unbeaten in the final.
After we had digested the bad news, however, we were at the ceremony still strong wheel and drove then exhausted and filled with many impressions home.
At this point we must pay our Juniors again especially our respect: We were at our first competition was not so good and this time it was just bad luck! We could do it!
Now we face the next challenge: the NXTraNight in Beckum and then the Radiolympischen games!

How Do Hiv Rash Look?
Back to the Bricks
Of course, for ourselves again after such a contest OEC the time still is not: It's more of course!
first Our Juniors will next week take part in the ZDI (Innovation for the future) competition in Bielefeld!
second We now refine our great Baukünste and try other people for the new season to win.
In Copenhagen, we had noticed that many teams (other than us) are working with Bricks the normal Lego bricks . We had previously almost exclusively used Lego technology! As said teams have done very well but again, we now want to try out if this comes into question for us: Therefore we are currently on the process of the mirror box nano quest " revive (it was razed to the ground, lack of parts!)
Once we achieve success on this course is to be read here too!
We wish all the teams now make a nice break LEGO free time and all the other good luck!
