are now the WRO contests, and here are the reports:
first Junior WRO:
was almost 2 weeks ago now, the junior WRO. Well prepared, we arrived and is one of the first ones were there. Immediately following the welcome coaches and participants were separated and distributed the additional task: If you manage to 1:50 10Punkte there is to it!
For the teams, the task was clear: build, program and possible faren good runs.
Then it was food, a welcome and tasty strengthening, as the coaching phase followed.
We discussed, simply make too many moves slower, so they would be more accurate.
followed by construction of a further 30 minutes then the 2 and final run, which unfortunately ended with 0 points. The best, however, was at 190 points from the Aa-bots.
Nach einem kurzen Bauteilecheck ging es dann The ball had to be taken not only by the rods, but also be placed in a glass: There have been awarded already going on and the additional task.
on Wednesday before the team Lego Mania with full points in 34 seconds had presented well and now we set to work.
After 20 minutes, had rebuilt his team Pelestorms orange robot while Pelestorms Black had already made some redesigns. In the orange it works pretty well towards the end when we were told by the referee Tiern that the robot does not conform with the rules: he had an elevator-like structure whereby the ball was brought down which counted but not because the actual robot had to touch the ground, not just our elevator.
After lunch there was the first Legs: Pelestorms Orange was the first to the second Black. The oranges went good 190 points (which should be in this round, not even surpassed), the robot of the Blacks was too large so it was just a run without scoring. Committed the same mistake too many other teams, resulting in 0 points several runs.
A Another team came from points as well as the time ran the oranges and a third but had the same score, but was much slower.
We then tried for the 2 Run our robot to make fully compliant, which was also two team. However, none of us went in the 2nd Legoroboter.de running full points and the team outdid both of us.
the end, the Orange team finished in 2nd place and 5th place on Team Black
For the first unfortunately not enough for a ticket to Manila, as only the best could get ahead of both contests, and the team was Lego Mania.
